Cargomind Netherlands primarily utilizes the major seaports in the region for ocean freight, particularly Rotterdam and, in some cases, the nearby Port of Antwerp. The office manages a full range of ocean freight services, supported by the experience and expertise of the ocean freight team based in Austria.

The Port of Rotterdam (NLRTM) is the main seaport in the Netherlands and the largest in Europe. With connections to over 1,000 ports worldwide and extensive deep-sea and short-sea services, Rotterdam is a vital gateway for international ocean freight entering Europe.

The Port of Antwerp (BEANR) provides additional flexibility as a nearby alternative and expands routing and capacity options thanks to the presence of numerous international shipping lines.

Managing Director

Michael Hopster

Michael began his logistics career in 2000 at DHL Global Forwarding, gaining operational experience before moving into supervisory roles. He continued to expand his leadership responsibilities at UPS Supply Chain Solutions, CEVA Logistics and Kuehne+Nagel, managing teams across air freight, customer service, healthcare and gateway operations. In 2018 he joined Bolloré Logistics, where he progressed from Technical Key Account Manager to Operations Manager Air Freight and ultimately Branch Manager Amsterdam and Head of Air Freight Netherlands, leading more than 65 employees. In March 2026, he joined Cargomind as Managing Director Netherlands, responsible for Cargomind’s operations in the Dutch market and driving the company’s expansion in the Netherlands.
