Cargo Mastermind: Bollmann Prize for Freight Forwarder Uwe Glaser

The Cargomind Group continues its growth strategy by refraining from the use of external capital.

In 2025, the Transport and Traffic Industry Award of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, in the category “Lifetime Achievement,” went to a distinguished entrepreneurial personality. Yesterday evening, Uwe Glaser, founder and president of the freight forwarding company Cargomind, was presented with the Bollmann Prize at the event venue “Mirage.”

Christian Holzhauser, chairman of the transport and traffic division of the Vienna chamber of commerce, honored the award recipient in his laudatory speech, praising his tireless dedication to increasing customer success. According to Holzhauser, since the 1960s, Uwe Glaser has invested considerable time and energy in initiatives aimed at optimizing the service portfolio of his logistics companies.

The Cargomind Group celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2025. Currently, the Vienna-based international transport and logistics provider employs 326 people at 28 locations in 15 countries. In addition to its own offices in Central and Eastern Europe, Cargomind relies on close partnerships with renowned companies such as Kintetsu and Sinotrans, as well as with global freight forwarding networks, including World Cargo Alliance, World Freight Alliance, Centennial, JCtrans, and Carvre 7.

In the 2024 financial year, the Cargomind Group recorded revenue of €132 million. Alongside air and sea freight, the company is active in high-tech logistics in Austria and Hungary. Uwe Glaser outlines the company’s range of services when describing this activity. The entrepreneur expects a great deal from his employees, but he also supports and encourages every team member who helps him implement his strategy with full commitment.

The entrepreneur's mission is to provide comprehensive consulting and support to direct customers and ensure the high-quality handling of import and export shipments for partner freight forwarders worldwide. These partners know and value the Cargomind network in Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe.

Uwe Glaser, the father of five, also carries a high level of responsibility in his private life. He has managed this well. All of his children now work for the Cargomind Group and are supported by qualified specialists in managing cooperation with customers, container shipping lines, airlines, seaports, and airports.
