Open new Location in Genoa

As of September 1, 2026, Cargomind has expanded its presence in Italy with a second location. Following the launch of Cargomind Italy in Vignate, near Milan, earlier this year, the company is taking the next step in its development: Cargomind Italy’s ocean freight operations will now be managed from its new office in Genoa.

The new location strengthens Cargomind’s ocean freight capabilities in Italy and brings the company closer to one of the country’s most important ports. The two Italian locations now complement each other perfectly: Vignate remains the hub for air freight, while Genoa serves as the base for ocean freight operations.

Ocean freight expertise in Genoa

The Port of Genoa is one of Italy’s leading container and industrial ports and a key gateway for cargo moving to and from Northern Italy and neighboring European markets. Its extensive road and rail connections provide efficient access to Lombardy, Piedmont, and other major industrial regions across Europe.

While Genoa provides a strong home base for Cargomind’s ocean freight activities, the team is not limited to the local port. Depending on the route, cargo, and individual customer requirements, Cargomind also works with other major ports throughout Italy. This extensive port network allows the team to develop flexible ocean freight solutions and select the most suitable gateway for each shipment.

Barbara Lualdi to lead the Genoa office

The new location is headed by Barbara Lualdi, Station Manager Genoa, who brings decades of experience in international logistics and deep expertise in ocean freight.

Barbara began her career in logistics with Medour Line in 1992. She later joined the Campostano Group and the Spinelli Group, where she gained extensive experience in ocean freight operations and held various leadership positions. Most recently, she worked at PSA BDP International, where she continued to take on senior responsibilities within the ocean freight business.

Since 2015, Barbara has also been a member of the Directive Council of Spediporto, the association representing freight forwarders in the Port of Genoa. With her extensive knowledge of the local market and strong industry network, she and her team will build and further develop Cargomind’s Genoa office and ocean freight business in Italy.

With Vignate/Milan focused on air freight and Genoa on ocean freight, Cargomind has established a clear operational structure for the Italian market and continues to expand its presence in the country.
